In a beautiful park at a university, on the Saturday afternoon of graduation, hundreds of students and their families listened to a commencement address delivered by Kermit the Frog. Despite a busy schedule, Kermit was gracious enough to depart wisdom on the green and golden rule, caution toward the green almighty, and cradling the green earth.

Two graduate students, who had heard enough puppets during their formative years, rushed the stage, pulled off Kermit's head, and announced his death. The tragedy was recorded by dozens of people with camcorders, and the footage was released to the media.

On Sunday Kermit‘s fans were disturbed. But on Monday Kermit appeared on the morning news shows, and then spent all day and night on the cable news channels, reassuring everyone of his good health. Each reporter greeted Kermit with an embrace reminiscent of The Madonna and Child. And when the day came to an end, it was clear to the world that Kermit the Frog will be with us forever.
