The Grasshopper and the Children

One summer afternoon a grasshopper rested peacefully in a field next to a stream. An hour later two children came to the field to play. The grasshopper, who had never encountered children before, was afraid of the unknown beings and frantically jumped away from them. As the children chased each other around, the grasshopper panicked and jumped in all directions until he landed in the stream, where he was quickly eaten by a trout.
