One day Mama Ogre was walking in the woods when she came across an old stone tablet hidden between two large boulders. The tablet contained engravings that recorded a year of one thousand days. She thought about giving the tablet to a museum, but she figured if her husband had a year with a thousand days, he could take on a second job, do all the household chores, and still have plenty of time to relax. So she gave the tablet to Papa Ogre, and he was delighted.

During the new year, Papa Ogre worked his two jobs, and he was happy to do all the household chores. But with all his leisure time, he caught the gambling bug and lost all their goods at the unicorn track.
