The Woodsman and the Thief

One day a woodsman was walking through a forest when a thief ambushed him, stole his gold coins, and ran away. After collecting himself, the woodsman stood up and raced after the thief. With visions of pummeling the criminal, the woodsman chased him through the forest, up and down valleys, over a small creek, and through thick brush. Then a train whistle blew, and the thief turned toward the railroad tracks. The train came closer and the chase continued.

When the train was near them, the thief wanted to separate himself from the woodsman, so he darted across the tracks. But he slipped and fell in front of the oncoming train. Putting his own life at risk, the woodsman picked the thief up and pushed him across the tracks to safety.
