One day the sun stopped smiling. A master chef wanted to cheer the sun up, so she made pasta, garlic bread, and her speciality, cherry pie, and then she started to climb the golden ladder that reached to the sun. She wanted to prepare more of her delicacies for the sun, but this was all she could carry. The chef climbed higher and higher, and she became very tired and hungry, but she was determined to make the sun smile again. The more she climbed, the hungrier she became, until she reached halfway to the sun and couldn't go any further. The chef was very sad, but she ate her delicious meal and fell into a deep sleep. When she awoke, she knew that climbing half the ladder would make her starve again. Either she could climb up to the sun with no food, or climb back to Earth and never look back. So the chef climbed down the ladder, and when she reached Earth, she cooked a big meal for her family, friends, and neighbors. They enjoyed the meal, and the chef lived a very happy life.
